How To Behave In Church

Wise words from fellow Tennesseean Tim Ellsworth:

Don’t be someone who grumbles about your leaders, and someone who criticizes your leaders, and someone who’s always finding fault in what it is that your leaders do. I’ll say this, if you find yourself in a position where you cannot support the leadership of your church, as long as there is no sin in the leaders, as long is there is not some way that they are sinning that needs to be addressed — but if it’s just an issue that you don’t particularly like this, or you don’t particularly like that — either, number one, shut up, or number two, go someplace else. How many churches would be spared so much heartache and so much division if people would do that?

Of course, no one tells people stuff like this anymore. We’re too afraid to “offend” people.

I’ll tell you how you’re supposed to behave in church! You’re not supposed to look back behind you, ever!, lest you turn into a pillar of salt like Lot’s wife! That’s what my mom told me! lol

What’s really interesting is that the bible says that he who is without sin may may throw the first stone. People still ignore the bible’s teachings and continue to judge others for eternity!

Good luck with getting this across to people~

Nice quote there, stephen. Very true if you ask me. Seems we see more and more disturbances in those kind of situations. By the way, when we gonna do lunch?

Candy, that is hilarious! I’m gonna use that when my daughter is old enough to learn to sit quietly. :D

Gary, unfortunately I am already booked for this year; I’m attending this year’s Together for the Gospel conference as well as the Kentucky Baptist Conference of the Deaf. Next year I will be at the “hearing” SBC here in Louisville, but beyond that and the “Deaf” KBC I have no idea what I will be able to do.

Steve, check your e-mail for lunch. We need to talk about this stuff!
